Seeing Double

So here lies the problem. We have 2 fridges, 4 TVs, 2 microwaves, 2 washing machines, 2 sets of couches, 2 dining tables, 2 irons, 2 stoves, 2 sound systems, 2 of this and 2 of that…we pretty much have 2 of everything!

How are we going to accommodate all of our possessions into the parents-in-laws (PIL) house come August after we moved in (temporarily)? I really do not mind selling/give away some of my stuffs. So does Hot Papa. But the thing is that we may have to move out of the house in a couple of years after PIL comes back for good. It would be quite a waste to sell off our things and later, have to buy back when we move into our own abode.

To sell or not to sell?

Help! What are we to do?

And there are a few of my things that I am very reluctant to sell/give away for I have some form of attachment to them i.e. sentimental value. Just the other day I had a bit of a tiff with Hot Papa when he suggested that I sell off my (first) big TV. I know it’s nothing much, it’s just a TV but I bought that TV as a present to myself when I got my (dream) job (gazillion years ago). Hot Papa got a lil annoyed when I ask him to throw away his (smelly) big pillow citing that the pillow is very comfy. I think that he just didn’t want to part with his ‘bantal busuk’. Haha!

So there you go. We are now making a list of things that we have and we are meeting up this weekend to discuss the fate of my big TV and his smelly pillow.

Wish me luck gals!

….and here is Ronnie’s best impersonation of Yoda. :D

Chikadees

Changing the bed sheet proved to be very challenging when you have cats like Ronnie and Odie. My attempt to change my bed sheet last night was stalled indefinitely when they decided to treat the bed as a war zone. They jumped and twisted and kicked and slam dunked on the bed the moment I tried laying the sheet. And when I did manage to tuck the sheet underneath the mattress, they would pull the sheet out and made a big round circle of sheet before they nonchalantly stepped inside the ring and pretending to be sleeping.

So, I 'jentik' Odie's ears. She growled and hissed and was ready to pounce on me. Arrrrr!

And, I smacked Ronnie a lil bit (just a lil bit) so he would get up and let me finish tucking in the sheet….and this is what happened….

He ignored me completely when I called him to bed and he even refused a treat! Wah very hard to ‘pujuk’ this boy I tell ya. So after much coaxing and ‘pujuking’, he jumped on the bed, pulled the sheet out and pout.

Heheheheh! I can't live without my chikadees :)

It's My Wedding I'd Panic If I Want To

It was rather foolish of me to think that since it is going to be my wedding, I would have a total control over the preparation. A meeting with the aunty-in-law-to-be (AILTB) over the weekend proved that I do not have (almost) any control whatsoever over the preparation (much so especially when my sister-in-law-to-be is rather ehem…bossy).

After the discussion, Hot Papa and I realized that we have not done anything for our impending wedding and that it is just another 4 months away and there are so much to do. With a slight panic attack, we started to list down things that needed to be done. We have yet to book a place for the reception (on my side) and we just found out that the date we have chosen for the reception coincides with the beginning of school holiday.

Then there are cards, caterer, canopies, costumes, cakes, and so much more!

There goes our dream of a small private wedding *sighs* It was really hard explaining to the AILTB that we wanted a small simple wedding with only families and good friends. Apparently Hot Papa belongs to a very huge clan and we HAVE to invite ALL first….second…seven thousandth cousins to the wedding. Thank goodness my side of the family, there are only 12 of us! hahahah

But I guess AILTB has a point. Wedding is the time you meet all your new relatives and families (though still I prefer a small beach wedding or something).

So this whole wedding preparation matter has deterred me from getting good nights sleep the last two days. I kept waking every hour or so. I even dreamt walking down the aisle naked because I forgot to get meself a wedding attire! Yikes. So last Sunday saw me scouring shops looking for material and whatnot. I have yet to find what I wanted but at least I’ve started. And I have already bought door gifts for guests. (phewww)

So….’door gifts’ = checked!

Off to the next agenda.

.....and while I was busy getting things done, my two chikadees were busy having fun playing with newspapers and boxes in the apartment. I went home to a house full of shredded newspapers and torn boxes. Odie and Ronnie thought it would be fun to see me screaming at them and then decided to just jump on the bed and sleep before snoring quite loudly with no sense of remorse whatsoever. Sheesh!

Ronnie the Busybody Cat

This is what happened when I tried to bring home work last weekend....

Making sure that its well plugged-in.

Ok ok i confess. It was Ronnie who has been writing this blog and not me :)

Taking a break and watching a lil telly

And no work was done :) This is Ronnie and he would get all possessive when he sees my laptop. He would sit on it til no end and there really is nothing that I can do.

*tee hee*

Of bunnies and dvs

I have 5 dvds that I have yet to find the time to watch. I am crazy busy! Even on weekends there's always something to do. Can't remember the last time Frankenstein (aka Hot Papa hahaha!) and I just chill and do absolutely nothing.
And my flu keeps coming back it's annoying especially when you're in a meeting and the people there being dead serious about things and I just have to blow my nose. Hehehe!
A good friend confided that she and her man is no longer 'intimate' with each other after their first baby was born, so I ask "No rompy romp romp?" and she said no, romping is as usual. They both are Energizer bunnies. It's the lack of intimacy e.g. kissing and hugging and laughing etc etc. It's just sad when these things happened yes?

Truth About Cats & Dogs

Hi, my name is Frankensteina and I have a problem.

I can't see any kittens (abandoned or not) because I will definitely take them home. This has always been a problem with me ever since I was a child. A trip to the market with Mama always ended up with me stuffing a kitten of two in my pockets/t-shirt and bringing them home, in which Mama would later had to drive back to the market to send the kittens back. I can't exactly recall how many kittens I have brought back so far but I can safely say, thousands!

Apparently this behaviour sticks with me til adulthood. A short trip to the 'kedai mamak' would have me ended up not with roti canai or fried rice, but kittens. That was how I ended up with Ronnie. Saw him under the table at the restaurant and the next thing I know I had him in a box and in my car. Ronnie was so scrawny that he could barely walk. I knew for a fact that if I did not pick him up that day, he would have died.

Good thing is that Hot Papa loves cat too. I mean, it would definitely be a big problem if I ended up with someone who hates cat! My two cats, Odie and Ronnie are my lil chikadees and I love them to bits. Odie is the cool, calm and collected girl who refuse any kind of human affection at all times but feeding time. Odie does fetch too. Throw something and she'll bring it right back. Ronnie is mamas boy who sleeps at my 'celah ketiak' and can be caught at times lying on his back with all 4 paws up in the air with no care in the world. And he can say "Mama" (I swear!) and carry a conversation like a pro.
They doodle a lot and they eat a lot and they destroy my couch my bed my clothes and I have fur all around the house but I love them so much they would be the first I rescue in case of a burning building (except of course I'll rescue you first and foremost Hot Papa heheh!)

Now, if I can have a dog, I'd like to have a Golden Retreiver or maybe a German Shepherd :)

Oscar Wilde

Ahah! I knew my "I Know What You Did Last Time" would generate some kind of interest from one (if not 2) reader(s).

Heheheheh! You take it to a new low baby ;)

Gotcha.

And oh, I'm a fan of Oscar Wilde too. Interesting choice.

Now lets see what comment I'll get from this entry heheh!

A little bit of this a little bit of that

One should think that with the absence of La Grande Boss, all should be well and merry. Well, not for me *hmph* With La Grande Boss being away in the City of Love, me and Diyana are left to our own devices. We thought we could use the time to slack off but La Grande Boss being the mighty psychic that he is, had foreseen that we would be taking very long breakfasts and very long lunches and very long laughing sessions in between. Hence, Diyana and I have been running around like a mad woman that Diyana is and a hot woman that I am (hihihihi) getting things done before La Grande Boss is scheduled to come back sometime next week. I have been knee deep in minutes and Diyana have been running amok chasing people to submit reports.

Aiyaiyai!

Also the fact that my officemates just found out that I’m darn ticklish when it comes to my neck has been pure torture. They find pleasure in making me laugh til I turn blue in the face.

Arrrrrr!

Something Old Something New

Hot Papa and I have decided that our wedding will be a very small and private affair, to be attended only by families and loved ones. Reason being is that we don’t see the need to spend so much on a big, elaborated wedding only to be attended by people whom we hardly know or care about. A friend strongly opposed to this idea, citing that we only get married once in our life time, so must have big humongous bash to celebrate the day with everyone. But Hot Papa and I would rather be spending the money in getting a house or a new car I desperately need.

I have yet to plan anything at all and the fact that I’m so effin’ relax about the whole thing is driving my mom crazy heheh.

“Must book caterer now!”

“Must book tok kadi now!”

“Must book place now!”

“Must book everything now!”

I was told that all the good caterers are no longer available the time of my wedding *gulp!* and I may need to beg the tok kadi to come to my house to perform the ceremony(?)

And all those forms to fill?? And here I was thinking that getting married is easy peasy.

Help!

I Do

Hot Papa have asked me to marry him...
..and of course I said yes!
*smiles*
And the countdown begins!

I Know What You Did Last Time

While spring cleaning my old old old e-mails the other day, I discovered an e-mail by an ex-bf. Lets call him NIRSI aka TheSpinelessDick. The SpinlessDick and I dated for an extremely short while back in the dinosaur days, and being TheSpinelessDick that he was (and still is), he decided the best way to break the news to me is to not break the news at all. I later discovered that he was seeing another gal (no surprise there).

So, being a woman, a closure is (almost) inevitable. I just had to know why (don’t we all?). So I contacted him back a few years later and we made (sorta) peace. I got the closure that I wanted and he was at that time seeing a gal (lets call her TheCluelessVictim). Being the whinny spineless dick that he was (I still slap myself silly thinking that I used to fancy this guy! There must be something seriously wrong with me) he whined and complained about his current (then) gf. No, not complaining…but bitching about The CluelessVictim.

And this went on for almost a month…everyday.

Crap! I thought to myself, what the fish had I gotten myself into. So I told him…

“Get the heck out of the relationshiplah if you’re not happy. No point just complaining about it, yes?”

So he did, citing to TheCluessVictim that *I*, the ex-gf have asked him to break-up with her.

Say what?!
How low can you go baby? How low?

God is great. TheCluelessVictim and I met at a barbeque and the rest was history.

So I was framed. No biggie. I believe in karma. What goes around will come around and bite ya in the ass.

The last time I heard he was sleeping with someone’s wife and at the same time finggering a Chinese girl at the back of his Toyota.

Also he was “asked to leave” aka sacked from one of the best law firm in Malaysia. His family supposedly comes from a long line of legal background with father and aunty in high places.

"He was the joke of the (then) office," so his (then) officemates said to me.

A few years down the road, I bumped into TheSpinlessDick again. He was then engaged to a lovely lady, lets call her Corina Corina. I told him that Corina Corina sounded like a great decent gal, so I said perhaps it’s time you stop screwing around and settle down.

Instead, TheSpinelssDick said,

“F, the sex is just so lame and boring”

“F, she is emotionally clingy”

“F, she is pushing me to get married”

And he even showed me all the sms that Corina Corina sent to him.
"No it's my fault. I'm sorry", she said.
Poor gal thought it was her fault that things didn’t go well with them.

TheSpinelessDick then asked,

“F can I borrow your room for a couple of hours?”

“What for?”

“I’m meeting up with this gurl and I don’t want to rent a hotel for just a couple hours. Rugi”

WTF?! ARE YOU EFFIN' NUTS? WHAT ARE YOU DOING? YOU’RE GETTING MARRIED IN 3 MONTHS. IF YOU DON’T STOP THIS BEHAVIOUR, I’LL TELL CORINA CORINA!

It was something that I should have not said as I later learned.

The next thing I knew, I was attacked by Corina Corina citing that *I* was the one who wanted to sleep with TheSpinelessDick and I was trying to break up their engagement. I was also regarded as the pathetic ex-gf who wanted to get back with TheSpinelessDick and who was jealous with Corina Corina and this whole shenanigans was posted all over internet bla bla bla.

.....I have to say, it was not a surprise to me that that happened.

I guess TheSpinelessDick had to do what he had to do to save himself. He must feel very proud that Corina Corina defended him with all her might. He ought to be. Not every woman would want to marry a guy who cheated on her 3 months before the wedding. That gal got balls I tell ya.

I don’t blame Corina Corina. She was a woman in love and wanted to marry TheSpinelessDick no matter what.

I found out that Corina Corina and TheSpinelessDick got married sometime in 2005. The Chinese gal who TheSpinelessDick fingered at the back of his Toyata told me about it 2 weeks ago.

My best of luck to Corina Corina.

Un Deux Trois

I blame it on the fact that yesterday was a holiday and it’s almost a cardinal sin to make people go back to work the next day, especially when the next day being Friday. My brain has decided to shut down totally today and although I have piles of work to do, I can’t seem to get into gear 1 and start. Which means, I’ll be spending my weekends (barfing) generating Minutes (or not he he)

When one is chubby like me, people assume that you are in dire need of diet tips/diet pills/ jamu/julap for they assume that I must be miserable being fat and chubby, hence gives them the right to pinch my cheeks, jiggle my wobbly arms and slap my wiggly ass while imparting useless useful diet tips, as well as success “akak-dulu-cuma-makan-angin-ngan-minum-air-kosong-turun-40kg” stories. Tu belum cerita gedel (“gurdle”) yang kalau pakai badan terus macam J.Lo.

Yes I am grossly out of shape and can never fit into size 4, but I really am happy the way I am…really. Perhaps it’s a hard concept to grasp, but it’s possible to feel happy even if you’re not thin enough/rich enough/pretty enough. This misconception that you must be all that to feel happy is just full of bollocks.

I have friends who whine, moan and whimper for the ‘lack of things’ but never truly say thanks for things that they have. Me, I am just happy to have my health, my work and people that I love around me.

Aaaaand I'm rambling again. Must put a stop to this hahahah!

Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?

A conversation with a female friend last week made me thank god that Hot Papa is not one of’em “Metro-I-go-for-pedicure-manicure-facial-3-times-a-week-sexual Man”

I mean really, do you want your man to have a fairer and much smoother skin than yours?

Heck no not me!

I want my man to be...well butt-scratching, I-wash-my-face-while-I-shampoo-my-hair, stubble-face, burping, remote-control controlling man.

I just can’t stand brand conscious, tie-shoes-manbag(?)-hankerchief-colour-coded, Evian-drinking, perfume-spraying, beyotching man. I understand the need to groom oneself to look presentable but when you rush back home to change your shirt because it didn’t match your cuff links is just too way much, yes? I mean, really who gives an effin’ care, really.

Please bring the real man back!

The Not-so-old, Not-so-new

I’d like to think that it’s not too late to list down resolutions for the year 2007, but the thing is that my last year’s resolution was the year’s before and the year’s before was the year’s before before and so on…see the pattern?

So how now brown cow?

I have decided that 2007 would be a resolution-free year for me. No pressure to become 20lbs thinner, or be promoted to M/SM/GM/CEO by year end, or get meself an SLK (which I’d probably never ever will get to buy ever in this life time anyway).

Pah! Off with the resolutions!

But what I’ll do is set weekly targets that I’d like to see myself achieve. Like…

Week 1: Brush teeth before sleeping (yes I forget like that)
Week 2: Match pyjama top with pyjama bottom
Week 3: Do (or at least try) not to give the ‘finger’ to obtuse drivers
Week 4: Haul my jiggly ass up the stairs and not take the elevator

Simple as that…oui?

I have not updated my blog for quite a while and I don’t have any excuse for that besides I was just plain lazy. I was more content to just read blogs than write one. Plus, I have become so rusty that my sentences sound ridiculous and stupid J. Consequently the hibernate mode.

I need to get my modjo back

Now.....where do I begin?...

Well I am dumbfounded to see that people actually noticed that I was gone *tee hee* Awwwww.....you people (((GROUP HUG)))...hi hi hi.

Sadly, I have no one to blame but sloth(y) me for not updating. Honest to God, workload have been (and still is) merciless. End of November saw the departure of my Manager and the demise of me. My Big Boss know nuts about what she's doing, hence ALL work was handed over to me. The rest is history...I'm breathing Minutes and Resolutions and whatnots. But good news is, I have been making appearances in all the important meetings, so I am seen. Which is good. My advise is sought and my opinions are anticipated. Jolly...

My personal life is going through major changes too....I'm moving house again. I'm going to back to school...again. Weekends are filled with classes *phew* The last one month have seen Hot Papa and I on our feet most of the time. Its work, home, study, sleep, work, home, study, sleep for us. We are pooped really. I need a massage and Another Me, so that the Real Me can stay home and hybernate for at least 3 months and my Another Me can go on with my daily chores....

Fat chance....

And talking about fat......lets not go there on second thought. If I have to lie down flat on the floor one more time so just I can fit into my jeans....wait, I do have to lie down flat on the floor so that I can fit into my jeans...*argh!!*

*think happy thoughts*

My life and Hot Papa's will soon change forever....we're expecting sound of small padded feet around our new lovenest. Part of me just can't wait! I have been wanting this for so long. At last I managed to convinced Hot Papa. I understand his reservations....and among other things, what would people say? I mean yes I can only hide it for a while, but after that?...Gosh, I haven't told my parents. I know Abah would be ok with it...but what about Mama? The last time this happened, I had to 'throw' it away...

But this time, I'm old enough to make my own decision. I understand that one day Hot Papa and I may part ways, but I'm ready for this. Heck, I've been reading books and asking questions and buying toys....what a joy. I can't wait. My little kitten is coming next week! And I'm naming her Odie :o) Hot Papa is acting cool (konon) but I know he too can't wait hi hi hi. Plus, having more than a dozen cats over the years, I need his expertise in scooping out the poo-poo ;o)

Feels oh so good to be back... ;o)

We Are Family

It’s always exciting watching the birth of a new blog. Not that I have witnessed one as of late but whenever I blog-surf, I make it a point to read the very first blog that he/she wrote. That ‘first time’ would always sounded shy and fidgety…

“Ummm, this is my first post and to be honest I really don’t know what to write ha ha…”

TAPI, ha bila dah lama memblogging, amik kau! No more short uncomfortable sentences, but strong, friendly and trusting words started to form…which is a delight really :o) Macam macam ada. Blog sedihlah. Happy bloglah. Funny bloglah…and steady diet of Sewel blogs….like mine hehehehe!

The thing is, with our working hours these days, you don’t even have time for yourself, what more for your friends. No more planned, deliberate lunches with gurl friends. Now, catching ups are done more on ‘stolen’ times. So with blogging, you manage to stay in touch with friends…and not just friends dekat dekat sini jer. Friends all over the world summore. And sometimes, you are much ‘closer’ to people that you met through blogs/blogging….oui? You know what was going on in their lives….who are they seeing, what did they have for dinner, are they happy or sad….things that friends share.

So I’d like to think that the people that I ‘met’ through Frankensteina are my friends. We may not know each others’ real name, but we share our daily lives with each other. We offer our ear (or eyes for that matter) and advice to those who are in need and share joy when someone passes their exam or have a new baby ladida…

And that’s what make me keep coming back here…...thanks peeps ;o)

Thursday is Friday

Yesterday at 5:45 pm, Hot Papa and I left my apartment and off we went to Uptown. And oh the jam the blardy jam...so after kona here and kona there we reached Uptown in less than an hour. Hot Papa had an interview yesterday and alhamdulillah all went well. Now we are just waiting to be called for the 2nd interview. Only thing that the interview was scheduled to be at 6:30 pm and it actually started at 7:30 pm. I was kind of pissed because dah la its bulan puasa and you are interviewing a muslim. Be a lil bit aware la that he/she have to berbuka puasa. Hot Papa reached there much much earlier then some of the other interviewees but he was called last to be interviewed! *hmmph* Not sensitive at all. Interviewees yang lain tu tak berpuasa, takpe la. Hot Papa came first, interview him ler dulu.

I had my fair share of bad interview experiences, which mostly involved rude/ignorant/eksyen interviewers. Some of them didn't even bother to read my resume before calling me in for interview, resulted in "I'm sorry, you're not what we're looking for". Well if you would have read my resume first, I wouldn't have to drive ALL the way in the rain terkejar sana terkejar sini right? I was also asked in various occasions "Your resume is impressive but do you speak Ch*nese? because we are looking for someone who can speak ch*nese" Oh boy, suddenly nobody speaks English or Malay anymore?

Anyway, the interview ended at around 8, we went to Ikano and had the delicioustest nasik ayam at at the Food Court and we were too pooped to jalan jalan. I sent him back to his house and I reached mine around 11 pm. Showered and I was out by 11:15 pm.

And I thought today was Friday....

Tak boleh

Langsung tak boleh?

Yea, langsung tak boleh…

Memang tak boleh sangat sangat tak boleh?"

*Kak HR stared at me homicidally*

Ermmm....sapa sapa yang tak balik raya dan berada di kawasan Bukit Jalil, Subang, Kelana Jaya dan Shah Alam serta kawasan kawasan yang sewaktu dengannya sila lah menjemput saya ke rumah...

He he he...but really I can't take leave except the official ones of course :o(

Bummer!

Bend It Like Frankie

So what does a girl do when it's 1:30 am in the morning and she can't sleep?

She put on "Sade Live" and her Yoga For Abs (advance) vcd and bend like a pretzel. I've done Yoga efore but never an advance Yoga before. So I thought "hey, what can be so different from the normal Yoga that I do? Pffftt! I can do this"...

...and 5 minutes later, I was sweating buckets and huffing and puffing and growling *arrrrrr* and I wonder how on earth did she manage to bring her legs there with her hands on there and her head down there ever so effortlessly while there I was gasping for air just trying to lift my leg up??

But hey...brownie points for me for even trying. And I tell ya! Don't let the slow movement fool you. A simple bengkang bengkok can leave you breathless and sweating like an oink. Oyy!

Today despite it being Monday, seems to breeze through with ease. I have managed to clear most of the minutes and now I'm just taking a breather to write this piece.

And most importantly to K.Ana : I have received your e-mail and last two weeks amidst replying a looooooong reply to you, Kapooosh! my pc went blank. Electricity kaput :o( so I'll try and reply to you soonest ok K.Ana? :o)

A lil bit of this a lil bit of that

I have shait loads of work to be done but today my brain just stubbornly refuse to work. Have you had one of those days where you are just plain lazy bom bom that you can't seem to be functioning at all? Where you do nothing the whole day but daydream and 'termenung'? I am in 'termenung' mode today. I have been 'termenung'ing the last couple of hours and quite suprisingly I find it very soothing and calming.....

******

We are having 'Makan Busat' today in the office for lunch. It's Mega Pot Luck Day since we will be fasting tomorrow, so it's time to stuff our face silly. And I'm the Dessert Lady. So yesterday after work, Hot Papa and I decided to make a pit stop at Giant Kelana Jaya to get a cake, some cookies and some jelly. Had almost a romantic dinner until Hot Papa pointed out that we were overlooking a sewer. Eww...

******

The Budget didn't help...at all. Except if you are a civil servant which I'm not...neither is Hot Papa. Honestly I am rather scared of what 2006 might bring...with the rise in prices of things and all. It's difficult to even make it til the end of the month...what more save. And we are not the kind of people who splurge around. Our (only) luxury is perhaps a couple of dvds or dinner somewhere different than our usual mamak hunt. I have a feeling that things are going to be a lil more harder next year and times to come *sighs*...

******

Driving in KL can seriously give me a heart attack! I believe it's in the attitude....and it would make a lil or no difference at all even with heavier penalties imposed. Macamjalanbapakdianakkonakanankakonakirikasignalpuntakbagipehtu

Tomorrow we start 'puasa'...I vow to do good things and be a very good gurl.....for at least one month he he he. To all muslim around the world, Happy Fasting.

Intelligence is important to you. You always like to be around smart people. In fact, you're often a little short with people who don't impress you mentally.
You seem distant to some - but it's usually because you're deep in thought. Those who understand you best are fellow Rationals.
In love, you tend to approach things with logic. You seek a compatible mate - who is also very intelligent.
At work, you tend to gravitate toward idea building careers - like programming, medicine, or academia.
With others, you are very honest and direct. People often can't take your criticism well.
As far as your looks go, you're coasting on what you were born with. You think fashion is silly.

I lost it

Yikes! It seemed that I have lost my list of my favourite blogs! oh no, what happened?

Decided to change the out look and whambam! all hilang already...so how?

Oy what a day today...what a day

Storm before the calm

This is pretty much how I am/think/feel/in a state of today...

It's dark and stormy where I am now.

No I'm not angry...just disappointed

Which to me is worse than getting all pissy.

Monday Payday Mayday

I was pretty much like this the whole weekend last week. Plonked on the couch, I made the couch my bed, my working table, my dining place...my own lil nest. Only up and about when I need to pee, shower and go to the kitchen. I even get dressed on the couch.

Though I'm happiest lazing around doing absolutely nothing, but last weekend saw me nursing my fever and what made it worse was that my tonsil was swollen so bad that I couldn't eat anything solid :o( Hot Papa was away in his own nest back in his house and I really didn't want to disturb him. I have made him missed 3 soccer games before. So I thought I let him stay home this weekend and watch soccer. I even let my tix for the GP go wasted. I don't think I can stand the heat.

I really didn't feel like coming to work this morning but thinking that I have so much to do, I decided to drag myself out of bed and to the office. Urgh....I feel like there's a knife stuck in my throat.

Today's pay day....and half of it is already gone paying off rent and car and credit card and this and that....but thank god for online banking. With banks opting for closure on Saturdays, I just don't have the time to run to the bank and pay my bills anymore. Which reminds me that I need to get my trusty Satria serviced. Travelling 60 miles ++ per day, I'd probably die standing paying for gas and toll AND servicing. I need to move closer to my office. Hafta hafta hafta! Dah la gaji very de ciput(est)...Kalau macam ni, sampai bila pun tak boleh buat savings. Ayoyo...

I need to get my mind all straightened out and working. I have mountains of work to be done today....If only I can get my hands on some creamy chicken soup....yums.

Rossi

After the meeting this afternoon, we were brought around to see the pit, the paddock and whatnots (sorry peeps I'm not a GP fan) and we stumbled upon this guy. Very polite young man I might say, he called me maam and shook my hand. He has beautiful eyes! and cute curly hair. :) I'm not a Motor GP fan, but I think I met Rossi (correct me if I'm wrong). I was told that he is good...very very good. I hope he wins the race.
Slowmover : I saw the big bikes being hauled up in a truck and I thought of you. Those bikes look so darn cool!

Ich liebe Sie

Love is....no matter how many times I've held your hand and see your face, I still have that yummy goosebumps when I see you coming around the corner with that smile on your face.

I can't wait to go home to you Hot Papa ;)

And have a good weekend to all of you.

Soul Sisters

We make friends…we have friends…we keep some and we let go some

But these are the friends that, no matter what I do and where I go, there will forever be my ‘bestest’ friends forever :o)

Here’s to you Jennifer, Gillian and Aliya…I can never thank you enough for the beautiful friendship.

Kiss and Tell

After Hot Papa drop me off by the stairs in front of my office this morning (and after a series of waving-like-crazy episode by me when Hot Papa drove away. Muahahahah yes I mmg tak malu like that. I don't care what ppl think. I just want to wave my Hot Papa bubbye) I saw an old man dropping off his wife next to where I was standing on the stairs, and before he took off, she kissed his hand and he in return kissed her on both her cheeks before kissing her forehead and then her hand....

I want to be like that when I grow old....I find Malay(sian) men don't kiss their wife enough. I mean, there really is nothing wrong with kissing your wife (be it on the mouth or cheeks)...and no, it's not less macho if you do so. In fact, I find the act of showing your affection to your wife/loved ones is very gentlemanly.

Malu ke nak kiss your own wife? Itu pun nak malu ke, tapi bila nak cheat on your wife, tak malu pulak...lebih dari kissing lagi nak buat. What's up with that my brudder?

Most of the time, we are much nicer to people who we don't care about, whilst being nasty to the ones that we do...perasan tak?

Men tend to confuse love with sex. They think only when they are pounding like Jack Rabbit crazy then it's love.

Wrong. How so very wrong...

Sometimes, the smallest of thing means the most. That lil kiss on the nose or a hug when least expected or a squeeze of the hand.....the things that would make a woman's heart flutter (diamonds have the same effect, but that would be another post ;o))

So go ahead, kiss your wife/fiance/gf.....hug her and tell her that she's beautiful. That she means the whorld to you and you love her....believe me, she'll appreaciate it.

Beauty of the Beast

Do you get intimidated by 'good looking' people? I mean, do you feel small and ugly and worthless in the presence of someone beautiful/handsome? Do you feel impaired standing next to them/talking to them? Or do you feel...stupid and insignificant?

I do...or at least I did. But not anymore....

I know that 'good looking' people have the upper hand in certain things (am I right?) How their good looks do get them to a certain desirable milestone...how they 'effortlessly' get the promotion/the man/the woman/the car/the house/the everything with much ease as compared to the ugly/average looking people like us?....

The 'good looking one' may say "eeehhh where got lah? We all work hard also what?" Yes, I don't deny the fact that you do work hard BUT your 1 hard work probably = our 3 hard works to get the same thing(?) No I'm not being cynical here, I'm just stating the obvious. But there's nothing wrong in using Gods give to get what you want/be where you want...right?

Just that, if I'm given a choice, to either be beautiful or charming or intelligent (not book-wise, but common sense-wise), I'd rather be the latter one(s). Charm has got nothing to do with how you look. Charm is having the flair to 'excite' (not the explicit way mind you) people. Charm unlike beauty is 'unattainable'. You can try your darnest to be 'charming' but if you dont have it, you just don't have it.

Common sense is instinct, and enough of it is genius. Sad to see that most people these days don't use their common sense enough.

Why this post? I don't know....I just think that 'good looking' people are just over-rated these days. And being hired because you are one is just plain sad.

Slow

Slow and Steady
Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy.

They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder.

It'd really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment.

They expect you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then usually decide against it.

a.k.a nak kata I lembap la tu :P

Drama Queen

Your Brain's Pattern
Your mind is a firestorm - full of intensity and drama.Your thoughts may seem scattered to you most of the time...But they often seem strong and passionate to those around you.You are a natural influencer. The thoughts you share are very powerful and persuading.

I know for sure that Hot Papa is definitely going to agree with this.

So I am a bit of a Drama Queen. Who isn't? ;o) Either you're out-in-the-open Drama Queen or in-the-closet Drama Queen he he he he

...I'm a Drama Queen and a Scattery Brain too muahahahahahahahahahahaaaa!

Gosh I need a break.

Swiing the crimson tide.

I have 3 Minutes that need to be drafted like right now and a meeting in KLIA first thing tomorrow morning and compiling BOD papers tomorrow afternoon and letters to draft and sent later tomorrow afternoon and CRs to vet through and this and that and 10,000 other things to do.

Aiyaiyaiyaiyai!

And last weekend I have been an Ugly Monster to Hot Papa. A real biatch I would say. I'm ovulating so I blame it all on PMS.....really. Even Hot Papa being the cool-headed one lost a bit of his temper. I don't blame him *tee hee* Most men think PMS is just a sad excuse for us women to run amok and be nasty. That's not true. You men have no idea what we women go through during that time of the month. We have no control of our brain, heart, mouth and the likes. We say (mean) things that we don't mean. Hormones going haywire. The cramp, the hot flush, the back aches, swelling breasts, the thirst...its not easy you know.

*sighs*

I better get going. Work to do...and more work to do.

Journey

Tomorrow I will be left alone to hold the fort. The Big Boss will be attending an event in Pan-Pac. And the rest of the 'anak anak hamster' will be ferried off to the place where the company will be having its family day on saturday. They'll be going there for a briefing and training or some sort.

So I'll be all alone....with one meeting to attend. 2 Minuets to do, 1 to finalise, 2 CRs to finalise and shipped to a subsidiary. A few letters to draft and a checklist to come up with.

And in all honesty I am actually looking forward to this :) Not that I don't like them to be around, I do. But once in a while I would just like to be by myself thank you very much.

Plus, I can have U2 blaring all day long with no care in this world.

I like my cubicle. It's bigger than the ones that I had back in old company. I like the chair. It's comfy and big. And I have 2 big windows on my right side, which I have the shutters closed all the time so that I can have both my legs curled up on my chair.

The only problem that I see is that the aircond is not working. It's pretty cool and breezy here but I find myself functioning better in a freezing cold room.....that or the fact that I can use my funky scarf around my chubby neck *tee hee dari jauh nampak macam penguin sebab tak nampak leher*

The word is that in 2 years we will be moving to a new office in Sepang. Which made me decide to put a halt to my plan to buy a house. We shall see what the future brings....

Was asking Hot Papa whether him and I are where we are suppose to be in the stage of our life. He said things may not be happening rapidly but it's definitely happening. I am in a much better place from where I was one year ago. Hot Papa graduated. I move apartment. Him and I are getting much closer to each other emotionally.

But then again there are things that balanced out the good things, which is sadly the bad ones. But I shall remember only the good ones.

Ramadhan is coming very soon. 15th October will mark one year 'anniversary' for me and Hot Papa :) And I'm looking forward to Ramadhan because it's a month for ibadah and self-appraise.

And year end is approaching faster than you think. The next thing you know it's January and a whole new year.....how time flies.

Shop, Eat, Work

I have to do some shopping. I have ran out of working clothes to wear seriously. I decided for the time being (for the fatty time being that is) that I shall forgo my pencil skirts and cute blouses because for just one reason and one reason only. I can't fit into them anymore! I have grown chubbier (fatter) the last 1 year. Several attemps into squeezing into those dark skirts have resulted in me looking like a nangka in a sarung. And the horror didn't stop there.

I weigh more than Hot Papa :( a whole lot more that is. He constantly reassure me that he loves me no matter (ye ke?) but surely he will be more than glad if I loose the extra 10 kgs right?

The thing is, I didn't realise that I have gained so much. What happened??

Hot Papa's mumster and dadster are coming back in January next year. I must MUST look nice.

I wish the gym is much nearer and my work don't start at 8 bloody am. When I was working in Jalan Sultan Ismail, it was always gym in the morning and after because the gym was just a sekangkang monkey. Now, looking at how horrible it is to get into Subang after 5:30 pm (the gym is there) by the time I reach the gym in Subang, gym pun dah nak tutup :(

And I refuse to resort to any diet drugs or rumput rampai whatsoever.

Ahhhhhh I better get back to work. Big Boss not here, 'anak anak hamster' berkeliaran. Must catch them.

Hair Drill

I seriously need a hair make over....I feel asleep for like 5 minutes at my desk and woke up to the sound of the fire drill. Everyone gathered in the hall

Least I know that the left part of my hair was prominently sticking out.

And I thought the guys from the Engineering Department was checking me out

Please earth swallow me now.

A League of Their Own

I am dead tired...I yawned too much my jaw hurts. There are luggage under my eyes and I look like a drunken panda.

Oh, anyone interested in operating a fictious account in Myspace (not mine, I ask on behalf) just for fun?

I'm thinking of going for a dinner buffet somewhere with Hot Papa and my best friend Vogue Mama and hubdub Macha Man. Any suggestion? Somewhere where the ffod is nice and we won't be overcharged for a cekeding chicken maybe. Something authentic....nice ambience and MOST importantly, delish dessert ;) Yes I plan to attack the dessert table first.

Vogue Mama, Macha Man, Hot Papa and I promise not to be like one of those couples/married people who seem to have no time at all for friends anymore (eventhough we really do honestly don't) Plans to watch movie, eat out, play bowling and go Bali were made hastily last weekend when we all 4 met for dindin at Mahbub. I'm not too sure we all would be able to keep half the promise but I guess at least we are trying.

And there were endless (annoying) teasing "Oi bila nak kawin?"

Oi sabarla people....sat sat boleh ka?

Sometimes I wonder does our life need to be validated by people around us in order for us not to feel left out? Yes I may not be in the married league, but I'm sure there's not much difference between coupledom/marriagedom that people who are single or couple need to feel any less then the married ones? Bridget Jones I, you know what I mean...

Am I making sense?...

Am I making sense? ...

Terkangkang

I'm feeling a lil homicidal today....Ok, I'm feeling extremely homicidal today. I know that I'm new here and there a lot that I need to learn but having said that, it's no bloody excuse to dump EVERYTHING on me. The last 3 days have seen me attending 4 meetings, numerous CRs, letters and faxes and memos.

Oy!

Just what office boy would say "Terkangkang nak buat"

Well terkangkang or not, I am very much huffing and puffing. And I need assistance. I mean I have an assistant but you know when you're in a new company, no matter what your rank is you'll still considered as a rookie. When I ask them do something, they'd go..

"Yang dulu tak pernah pun suruh kitaorang buat"

Ok, I'm not yang 'Dulu', I'm yang 'Sekarang'. So chop chop! Gigit telinga kasik putus baru tau.

Lunch time ended almost 20 minutes ago. Batang idung sorang pun tak nampak lagi *sighs* I guess I'm in Government/GLC back again.

Gotta go, I have a few telingas to geget *arrrr*

Thursday, September 08, 2005

....*poofs*....

...*dreaming*...

I know, I should be working...I have 3 minutes that I needed to be drafted. Another meeting is coming up after lunch *sighs* Sometimes I wonder whylah I subject myself to such torture of writing down minutes. I have an attention shorter than the life span of a flea. 10 seconds into a new agenda and I'm gone... *poofs*

...but that was before I realised that one of the director who came back from the loo had his fly one. He was wearing red spender.... *hee hee*

Had an almost sleepless night. Have you ever had one of those moment where your body is utterly exhausted but your brain just refuse to shut down? I had an episode last night. Terkebil kebil dalam gelap. I was in and out of sleep most of the night. Now I'm so darn sleepy.....*yawns*

And I think I better get back to work.....once I can stop dreaming that is. I mean you know how sometimes you just stare intos space without blinking as though you're hypnotised. You feel so relax but fear that your colleague will find you creepy or some sort, so you're forcing yourself to 'wake up' but you just can't?....you just keep on staring and staring?

...yeah something like that.

Tua tua kelapa, lagi tua lagi berlemak

Today I decided to have lunch at the canteen instead of my usual place, that is in of my PC.

So there I was sharing a table with some kakaks kakaks from the HR department and walked by 3 'mat salehs' in army-pilot like uniform. They were blonde, blue eyes and tall.

So us the young(er) ones stole a quick glance and continue with our lunch (and yours truly were muching away on 'bayams')

.....when suddenly

"Allah comei nya omputeh ni. Tinggi sunggoh na. Mata biru cayak (cair to you)"

"Fuh handsome macam Mawi(??) *I lost my appetite right to this point*"

"Berkenan aku tengok. Segak pakai uniform. Badan tegapnya. Mesti berketul ketul kat dalam. Eeeiii geram aku tengok"

..and those coming from 40ish-50ish-not-so-youngish kakaks kakaks from my office.

And one of them dengan tiada "kemaluan dan kesiluan" snap some pics of the mat salehs with their mobile phone.

...tak sangka you

Eyes

It may be just me....or may not. But I find that Malays(ians) like to stare(?) Well I don't mean that in a bad way or something, please don't get me wrong...

I can be all just 'perasaan' for all I know, but I always get stared at. Or at least observed. Like yesterday I went to Hot Papa's place after work to pick him up. We were on our way to Miharja (Miharja seemed like the other side of the world when you're driving through Federal Highway during peak hour) to pick something up.

The moment I arrived at Hot Papa's place, got out of the car, I can literally hear the creaking sound of windows being opened and I can see pair of eyes peeking through the curtains.

I think, "they must be looking to see who might dropped by their house or something" which in that case, would take just a couple of seconds.

But this went for a while...a long while actually. It took Hot Papa some time to get his stuff and all, and feed the cat and lock the door. I can say good 20 minutes and all through that 20 minutes, 'they' were there just staring. Some were bold enough to stand at their door and just stare.

I mean I don't know...I'm not saying staring is wrong or otherwise. But it does seem a lil rude to me when someone decides to gawk at you for no reason.

But then again, as I said earlier I can be all 'perasaan'.....

To Sir With Love

Hmm...interesting bit I found. Go ahead, have a read. I was amused

Friday, September 2nd, 2005

Dear President Bush,

Any idea where all our helicopters are? It's Day 5 of Hurricane Katrina and thousands remain stranded in New Orleans and need to be airlifted. Where on earth could you have misplaced all our military choppers? Do you need help finding them? I once lost my car in a Sears parking lot. Man, was that a drag.

Also, any idea where all our national guard soldiers are? We could really use them right now for the type of thing they signed up to do like helping with national disasters. How come they weren't there to begin with?

Last Thursday I was in south Florida and sat outside while the eye of Hurricane Katrina passed over my head. It was only a Category 1 then but it was pretty nasty. Eleven people died and, as of today, there were still homes without power. That night the weatherman said this storm was on its way to New Orleans. That was Thursday! Did anybody tell you? I know you didn't want to interrupt your vacation and I know how you don't like to get bad news. Plus, you had fundraisers to go to and mothers of dead soldiers to ignore and smear. You sure showed her!

I especially like how, the day after the hurricane, instead of flying to Louisiana, you flew to San Diego to party with your business peeps. Don't let people criticize you for this -- after all, the hurricane was over and what the heck could you do, put your finger in the dike?

And don't listen to those who, in the coming days, will reveal how you specifically reduced the Army Corps of Engineers' budget for New Orleans this summer for the third year in a row. You just tell them that even if you hadn't cut the money to fix those levees, there weren't going to be any Army engineers to fix them anyway because you had a much more important construction job for them -- BUILDING DEMOCRACY IN IRAQ!

On Day 3, when you finally left your vacation home, I have to say I was moved by how you had your Air Force One pilot descend from the clouds as you flew over New Orleans so you could catch a quick look of the disaster. Hey, I know you couldn't stop and grab a bullhorn and stand on some rubble and act like a commander in chief. Been there done that.

There will be those who will try to politicize this tragedy and try to use it against you. Just have your people keep pointing that out. Respond to nothing. Even those pesky scientists who predicted this would happen because the water in the Gulf of Mexico is getting hotter and hotter making a storm like this inevitable. Ignore them and all their global warming Chicken Littles. There is nothing unusual about a hurricane that was so wide it would be like having one F-4 tornado that stretched from New York to Cleveland.

No, Mr. Bush, you just stay the course. It's not your fault that 30 percent of New Orleans lives in poverty or that tens of thousands had no transportation to get out of town. C'mon, they're black! I mean, it's not like this happened to Kennebunkport. Can you imagine leaving white people on their roofs for five days? Don't make me laugh! Race has nothing -- NOTHING -- to do with this!

You hang in there, Mr. Bush. Just try to find a few of our Army helicopters and send them there. Pretend the people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast are near Tikrit.
Yours,

Michael Moore
MMFlint@aol.com
www.MichaelMoore.com

P.S. That annoying mother, Cindy Sheehan, is no longer at your ranch. She and dozens of other relatives of the Iraqi War dead are now driving across the country, stopping in many cities along the way. Maybe you can
catch up with them before they get to DC on September 21st.

Fat chick

Naked, I look like this ( no kidding)...

I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING OR ELSE I MAY DIE OF HEART ATTACK OR SOMETHING.

I believe the neture of my work contributes 50% to how I look like. It's a bloody desk-job. I hardly move (except going for meetings)..

...late night

....early start

....no time to excersice (this is true)

and canteen food sucks and I don't have a choice really. Penat la hari hari makan bayam. Doodle pun hijau.

Royal pain in the buns

*yaaaaaaaaaawns*

It's only lunch time and I'm utterly exhausted *phewww* With the last quater of the year coming in, there are tonnes of work to be done. Back-to-back meetings and resolutions/agreements that needed to be drawn up. Waktu nilah semuanya kelam kabut nak buat. Typical GLC company. Dah nak berak baru korek lubang.

But the royal pain in the ass would be having to deal with the people who have been working (and only work) with Government for a very long long time. They think that they own the company thus all should obey and no question ask. Its easier to deal with the MD or the directors then dealing with these kakaks kakaks PA ni.

I don't have the time to make small talks nor cium bontots ie "Eh lawa akak hari ni/cantiknya baju akak/ eii akak nampak muda pakai lipstick tu". When I need to see a director or get his/her signature, I mean business. And in my line of work, timeframe is crucial or the company is expose to penalties and whatnots.

Kadang kadang, soalan tu mengalahkan bini. Tanya tu tanya ni. Its P&C, and by saying that I am not in the position to discuss with you what's the nature of my discussion. Sibuk tak kena tempat la kak.

And please don't take heart if I don't want to buy kain-kain baju kurung that you brought to the office eventhough I can pay in 12 installments.

*sighs*

Frustrating when your work depends on the (in)competency of other people.

I need to catch some shut-eye. Dah juling ni.

Cing Cing

OH MY GOD! I LOST MY CING CING!
(Cing Cing is the name of my sunglasses. If you've watched Breakfast At Tiffany you'll understand)

NO! NO! NO! NOOOOO!

Yes, I am very de Drama Queen when it comes to my sunglasses. I LOVE my sunglasses. It took me years and years to find that one perfect sunglasses. I have no care for shoes and bags but sunglasses.

I can be dressing all shabby and 'berselerak' but once I pun my Cing Cing on, I am Holly Golightly and nothing can stand in my way. I can run I can fly I can take over the world!

But now...

My Cing Cing is missing :o( How can I ever replace you? We've been through many sunny times and hazzy times together.
Cing Cing I'll miss you :o( Hope you'll be happy in Cing Cing Heaven (did I tell you that I'm a Drama Queen when it comes to my sunglasses?)

If you can't beat'em, meme'em

Hmmm....Got meme'ed by The Slow One...This got me wonder of the things in the past and what's in store for me in the future..

20 years ago 1985 (I was 8)
1. Was the ‘Ketua Darjah’ 2 Kenanga. I don’t remember much. But what I remember was that during this time, we girls were much bigger than the boys so we pretty much ruled the class *tee hee*
2. Got kidnapped (yes I did)
3. I was the big bully in the house (he he) Remember asking my sister to hide in the closet and to not come out till I said so. Mumster thought adik went missing. Got spanked real hard after that.

10 years ago 1995 (I was 18)
1. Fresh out of boarding school.
2. Offered to do Aeronautical Engineering. Had to turn it down. Too expensive, no money to pay first for the 1st year.
3. Got offered to do Mechanical Engineering. Again no money. (1997 onwards the economic downturn, money was tight. Had to pay for the 1st year before being reimbursed by sponsor later)
4. Got offered to do engineering again. Couldn’t go. Cried my eyeballs out. Devastated.
5. Wasn’t too sure what I wanted to do with my life (didn’t we all?) Decided to take up a course least favored by the Malay student (wanted to prove that I can do it)
6. Realised No. 4 was a big mistake.
7. Realised that I was too late to back off from No. 4 and carried on.

5 years ago 2000
1. Started working.
2. Work

Crush

I'm in crush!!....errr I mean I have a crush. Extremely harmless one that is but a crush nonetheless *tee hee*

I can imagine the look on Hot Papa's face when he reads this but heck, every girl needs a crush or some sort...yes? :D

My SM is a total gentleman and apparently I'm not the only one in crush. The last bit I heard, he has a fan club....But I can see why the girls get all fluttery eyed when he talk/walk/smile.

Some men go all the way and get a sport car or double king size bed or whatever men do to impress us girls but really...all it takes is just a lil bit of chivalry.

*swoons*

Zzzzzz..

Don't wake me up before you go go!

It's Friday...I stopped working on Thursday....

Spastic

....I'm feeling especially retard today...

Asked Hot Papa if him and I are boring people and he said "We're practical people la darling"

I'm feeling much older than my 28-year-old self today...been told I have an old soul

I have old everything lah...

I blame it on the new secretary to the MD who reported to work today. I believe she's 9...she looks like 9....

"The only thing I've ever successfully made in the kitchen is a mess. And several small fires."

"The only thing I've ever successfully made in the kitchen is a mess. And several small fires." - Carrie

I am one of the unfortunate ones...really. I'm excellent at cleaning up. I can spend hours and hours just cleaning up. I rejoice at the sight of mess made by Hot Papa in the living room as I look forward to put things back at its place and vacuum and wax...oh the works!

BUT...I just can't cook. I mean pft!..... yeah we all cook rice, fry egg, boil water...no biggie there. But I just can't cook a 'decent' meal...I just can't. Try as I might to remember what my mum taught me (she's an excellent cook) I just can't..

..and being the taling that he is, Hot Papa would just eat whatever I cook, which half the time I had no idea what I served *tee hee*

"takpe, sedap nih" *chomp chomp chomp*

Ok that doesn't help...

Most women get jealous at the sight of new jewelleries/shoes....I get all jealous when I see/hear friends raved about what they cooked... :o( Maybe I was born to not cook(?)

Urgh...I'm depressed!

Listening : Bohemian Rhapsody (Queens)

Daisies & roses and a whole lotta kissin'

After a long hard day at work, after a long shower, I found a bouquet of daisies (my favourite flower) and half a dozen of red roses on my bed :)

Hot Papa sure do know how to make my day...

Thank you my taling :)

.....and after ALL the things that we've been through...I love you

Inspired Inventor

I was bored at work...so

"Congratulations, Frankensteina!Your IQ score is 120

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others. Your Intellectual Type is Inspired Inventor. This means you've got exceptional verbal and mathematical skills, and are very good at brainstorming new ideas. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results"

I'm not sure what IQ is considered genius or average or whatever, but I like it when they call me "inspired Inventor"!

Fundamental Orifice aka *sshole

Why oh why would there always be one '*sshole* in every office? Why?

It's a brand new job, brand new everything....and yes a brand new *sshole too....and if I may say a lady *sshole is much harder to deal with than a man *sshole (and I thought we women should look out for each other...pft!)

Yes...mine is a lady, whose work revolve around setting up appointments and making coffees and god forbids that anyone should cross her path for she breathes fire!

In short...you must...MUST treat her with utter respect or she'll make your life in the office a living hell (don't mind the fact that she acts like she owns the goddamn place)

So there you go...that bugs me and it bugs me alot....I hate *ssholes

*toot*toot*toot*

Ok...after being jobless AND internet'less' for the last one month, I was eager to get to work, to my new office, new pc, new chair, new carpet and read some blogs...and only to find this..

Death

Lately, most blogs that I've read talked about death...to most of us death seems so far still....but its inevitable. Sooner or later we will meet our maker.

A friend sent this to me....send shivers down my spine and I was trying to remember if I've experienced any of the signs mentioned below..

Tanda 100 hari sebelum hari mati.

Tanda 40 hari sebelum hari mati

The Guitar Man

This song just gets me everytime....

The Guitar Man - The Bread
Who draws the crowd and plays so loud,
Baby it’s the guitar man.
Who’s gonna steal the show, you know
Baby it’s the guitar man,

He can make you love, he can make you cry
He will bring you down, then he’ll get you high
Somethin’ keeps him goin’, miles and miles a day
To find another place to play.

Night after night who treats you right,
Baby it’s the guitar man
Who’s on the radio, you go listen
To the guitar man

Then he comes to town, and you see his face,
And you think you might like to take his place
Somethin’ keeps him driftin’ miles and miles away
Searchin’ for the songs to play.

Then you listen to the music and you like to sing along,
You want to get the meaning out of each and ev’ry song
Then you find yourself a message and some words to call your own
And take them home.

He can make you love, he can get you high
He will bring you down, then he’ll make you cry
Somethin’ keeps him movin’, but no one seems to know
What it is that makes him go.

Then the lights begin to flicker and the sound is getting dim
The voice begins to falter and the crowds are getting thin
But he never seems to notice he’s just got to find
Another place to play,
Anyway got to play, anyway got to play.

Tra la la

...it really is ok to not be RIGHT ALL THE TIME. It really is not the end of the world when someone does not agree with you/have a different school of thought than yours...

There's a difference between standing your ground and just being plain snooty..

I learn today that it is pointless talking to rude people...they just don't care

Hantu Jogging

This happened a couple of years back....

After some pool games and teh tarik, my friends 'Timah', 'Siew Lan' and I decided go home. It was almost 1 am and since I was so sleepy I decided to take the short cut (I was the driver). This short cut cuts through big old houses, a park and a chinese cemetary...

Was driving along the cemetary when Timah said "Eh here got hantu you know"

"Oy don't la say things like that...not NOW" I said

"Really la I heard oso...scary maa" Siew Lan added.

"Shaddap la...I'm driving and I'll be driving alone after I drop you guys off" *gripped steering harder*

"Yalah, I heard one aunty was killed by a lorry while jogging on the park (the park and the chinese cemetary were next to each other)" Timah said.

"Yalor...killed on the spot some more...eiiii takut"

"Ish mulut....korang ni diamla...you know what time is it now? And where we are now?" I reminded them that we were right smack in the middle of the cemetary...

When suddenly....

"Is that.....", said Timah pointing to a whitish figure running slowly by the road side.

We all looked....and looked harder and realised that the feet of the whitish figure (I assume its a ghost) that we were looking at were not touching the ground....at all.

Siew Lan started screaming followed by me and then Timah. And in the middle of the chaos, I let go of the clutch of my car too fast and the car died.....the whitish figure started to turn around and was heading towards the car. We all screamed harder. I don't remember much after. I froze. Timah slapped me a few times. I started the car back again and just stepped on the gas and drove like a maniac.

.....I don't take short cuts...not anymore.

Cheesy Wedges (the evil)

I was all prepared and ready to start my diet (trying low-carb pulak)

Than I discovered Cheesy Wedges...

...finish

Thoughts

You know what I miss the most'est'?

I miss reading....I really do. Used to read a book a week. I hardly have time to read the newspaper these days. Bought a few books the last couple of months and only managed to pick one up just long enough for me to read a page or two before I doze off...

......and I can't remember the last time I rode a bicycle. Gosh, the last time I rode one was probably 10 years ago....I'm not sure if I remember how to ride a bicycle...is it possible that we forget how?

And what one movie that you can watch over and over and over again....and again and again? I can watch "Breakfast at Tiffany" gazzilion times and still feel like watching it for the first time everytime...its an absolute girlish movie.

....swirling staircase, that's the state of my mind today..it goes up and up and up...not too sure where its heading..

Manners anyone?

The blogworld can be a very scary place. Its big and wide and without any boarder....and each and one of us is vulnerable and open to any form of disparagements...and mostly these disparagements are very cruel and spiteful.

I myself had experienced such predicament. To be blindly assaulted left, right and center...can get pretty ugly.

I have read many many blogs. I agree with some and disagree with some...and I find no reason for me to ridicule the author of the blogs who I do not share the same sentiment with...but I guess not to some people.

My point is...

We all have our own set of opinion..... It's ok to not be on the same page...it's ok to not be right all the time. Express your disagreement, nobody says you can't. But be mindful of other people's feelings. Be sensitive and polite. Won't hurt...

I don't understand the need to belittle others...

Play nice...

Sound trouble

I sound trouble...

HotPapa : B, I nak buat laundry.
Me : Belum, later later I mandi.
HotPapa : ??

Hot Papa also sound trouble...

Me : Have you seen my blue shoes?
HotPapa : News? Belum start lagi...

And sometimes this happened....

HotPapa : I love you B
Me : Mee? I thought you want to eat nasik goreng?
HotPapa : No, I said I love you (suara kuat sikit)
Me : Stew? Mana nak cari stew malam malam ni
HotPapa : Ya rabbii...no, I cakap I LOVE YOU!
Me : ?? Jangan la scream scream like that
HotPapa : Dah you sound trouble
Me : Okaaaayyyy I LOVE YOU TOO!

So, sometimes it's quite funny how my sister thinks that HotPapa and I are arguing when the fact is we are just talking to each other...heheheh
