Heath Ledger Dead

This is sad. He is a pretty good actor.
January 22, 2008 --
Oscar-nominated actor Heath Ledger was found naked and dead in his SoHo apartment yesterday after he apparently overdosed on anti-anxiety pills.

The 28-year-old star's ex-fiancée, actress Michelle Williams, was flying to New York from Sweden with their 2-year-old daughter Matilda, her father said. Larry Williams told the Daily Telegraph in Australia. "My heart goes out to everyone, his family, my family, we are just very saddened. The saddest thing is his daughter who he just loved dearly."

While some sources said Ledger was depressed, the actor's father, Kim, later released a statement declaring his son's death "accidental."

One cop at the scene said it did not appear to be suicide, but police were still investigating, and an autopsy is scheduled for today.

Ledger was found by his maid and the masseuse with whom he had a scheduled 3 p.m. appointment at his $23,000-a-month, three-bedroom loft at 421 Broome St. When the two women entered his bedroom at about 3:20 p.m., Ledger was nude, lying face down and unresponsive, police sources said.

Pills were strewn around the bed, and there was a bottle next by the actor's body, police sources said. The maid and therapist called 911 at about 3:26 p.m. Emergency workers were unable to revive the star, and he was pronounced dead at 3:35 p.m.

Bottles of the generic forms of Xanax and Valium, both anti-anxiety drugs prescribed in his name, were found in the house, according to law-enforcement sources. The sleeping drug Ambien was also found near his body, sources said. The maid said she last heard the star snoring around noon.

"We are investigating the possibility of an overdose," NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said.

"There were pills within the vicinity of the bed."

One police source said "it does not appear to be a suicide." Ledger, a native of Perth, Australia, had lived in Brooklyn with Williams and Matilda, but the couple split last year. He has since been romantically linked to a slew of women, from Aussie supermodel Gemma Ward to Long Island bad girl Lindsay Lohan.

Insurance

I'm on a look out for a good insurance to buy.
No, I do not have one currently and yes I know I should have one already :P
So anyone, any advice?

Barf! Barf! Barf!

Ever since I found out I was pregnant, this has been my morning ritual. Not that anything came out when I puke, which in a way is kind of worse than actually puking something. It hurts my stomach so much.
I read that taking some crackers before getting out of bed helps. Errr...no. The last time I ate some crackers, that some crackers came out of me and into the toilet bowl 5 minutes later. I'm just so tired and oh..lets not talk about the headache :( I do not want to take aspirin or anything. Not until I consulted my doctor.
Can I take aspirin? Panadol maybe?
And I know now that 'morning sickness' restricted not only to morning time, it's all the time. I don't think my morning sickness is that bad but I do fell nauseous all day long. But what's worse, I have turned into a FEROCIOUS EATING MONSTER! Yes I have! I had Kentucky Fried Chicken, some waffles, Dominos' pepperoni pizza, McChicken from McDonald's, cinnamon buns from Cinnabon and 3 scoops of Haagen-Dasz's Rocky Road, just last night!
Oh god, I'm turning into Diyana!
Anyway, I think I need to get something to eat now. I feel the puking coming.
Muahahahahahahahaha!

Being Pregnant Is Cool

I think I like being pregnant :)

Half an hour after I've announced my pregnancy I have received Anmum and folic acid from Diyana

And Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula for Stretch Marks from Aneera.

A friend has also promised me a few pregnancy books.

*grins*

So please do not be shy I accept all kinds of donation (preferably something sweet and chocolaty and yummy for me to satisfy this new found hunger of mine).

And I fail to function without this..

...I even put some in my mouth :D

Boobie Baby

I woke up this morning and felt like I have 2 huge melons stuck to my chest.

Where did they come from??

Apparently this is one of many many pregnancy signs. My boobies are sore and they will grow bigger over the next 7 months.

You should see the look on Mr Frankie's face when he saw my boobies this morning. He looked like a boy in a candy store.

Hehehehe!

Been reading a lot about first trimester pregnancy and I have to say it's the scariest time of the whole pregnancy period. 1 in 5 women experience miscarriage in their first trimester. And since I am 31 this year, the risk is higher.

Anyway, I'm not going to think so much about that. I am just going to enjoy my morning sickness and hope for the best.

7 Weeks and Counting

If our calculation is right, we are 7 weeks pregnant!

Hurrah!

*grins*

That explains why I was feeling very bleurgh the last couple of months.

*grins*

Mr. Frankie is very happy. I am very happy.

We are estatic!

But but but...it's still very very tiny and there are a lot of risks involved in the first trimester so we try not to be 'too' happy.

*grins*

Wish us luck :)

When you are between 6 and 7 weeks pregnant, you may be experiencing the early signs of pregnancy: your period has stopped, nausea, breast changes, frequent urination, and fatigue. The picture above shows how the uterus has begun to grow at 6 and 7 weeks pregnant and has become more ovoid or egg-shaped. The pressure of the growing uterus on the bladder causes frequent urination.During these weeks, your breasts may have begun to increase in size.

Some women may also experience tingling sensations and breast or nipple tenderness. By the end of the second month, the nipples and areolar areas also develop deeper pigmentation. In the picture above, the beginnings of the placenta can be seen in the uterus. The embryo is about one quarter to one half an inch long and weighs one thousandth (0.001) of an ounce. The head is large in proportion to the rest of the body.

The internal organs have formed and the baby's heart has been beating since the end of the 4th week. The baby is floating in the amniotic sac. Buds for the arms and legs emerged in the 5th week, and by the 7th week little buds for fingers and toes also appear. The umbilical cord is lengthening and will continue to grow allowing the baby freedom to move. The 7th week represents a milestone in development: the embryo is now considered a fetus.

Blogger to Watch

Congratulations to Crankshaft for the 'Blogger To Watch' award :)

I enjoy his writings and I have to say he deserves the award.

Write away!

*Yawns*

This was how I was pretty much the whole of last weekend. I did nothing but sleep alternately between my bed and the couch in front of the tv. There's something in the weather, it makes me feel so darn tired all the time.

And waking up this morning was a torture. I feel like I didn't even sleep at all :( And my energy level is constantly at 0...

*yawns*

My oh my...

Chua Soi Lek Resigns

PUTRAJAYA: Health Minister and MCA vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek, who has admitted he was the subject of a sex video widely circulated in Johor, resigned from all government and party posts yesterday.

Dr Chua said he had written to the prime minister, deputy prime minister and MCA president to quit as health minister immediately.
He will also be stepping down as Labis MP, party vice-president, Johor MCA liaison committee chairman and Batu Pahat division chairman.
Dr Chua's announcement was a dramatic about-turn from his statement just a day before in which he confessed he was the person caught on video having sex with a "personal friend" but refused to relinquish his cabinet or party positions.
He said despite his admission and apology, he found that the public still could not accept what he did.

He said he had hoped that the people would forgive him but based on feedback, they couldn't. He said some Malaysians had a "holier-than-thou attitude".
Oh please lah. Just resign already.
Pffffth!

The New Proton BLM

Decided to do some googling on the new Proton and found this on http://www.paultan.org/.

Looks a lil bit like Vios (from the side). I don't know....

"Proton dealers will be accepting official bookings for the new Proton Saga replacement known to us as the Proton BLM tomorrow. TV3 reports quoting official Proton sources that the 1.3 liter 4 door sedan will be sold at prices of between RM30,000 to RM35,000.

The new Proton Saga replacement will be launched in early January 2008 - for more details please refer to the many previous posts below which covered the topic, or just have a look at the Proton BLM category"

The price is very reasonable though I guess that is because of its 1.3 engine. Mr Frankie is scouting for a new ride. Was at the Proton showroom yesterday looking at Persona. I'm not a big fan of Persona though I have to say it's quite spacious. And it drives well too.

Well I guess we are just going to take our time and look around before we decided on a car to buy. We just want something economical and comfy.

DizzzZZzzzzzZZZZzzyyYYyyyyyyy

I'm just oh so exhausted all the time these days.
I think it's the heat. It's so hot out there yes?....
I was on leave the last 5 days and all I did was just lazed around on the couch doing absolutely nothing. I just didn't have the energy to do anything at all and I can barely be out of the house more than 10 minutes.
I think it's the heat. Mr Frankie and I were supposed to go to the Zoo Negara last weekend as Mr Frankie was anxious to try his new camera. Sorry darling, we go next time ok?
By the way, was watching the news 2 days ago and found out that Proton is coming out with a new model? Is that true?
Urgh...I think I need to lie down. My head is spinning....

Health Minister in S3x Tape Scandal

Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek and his wife, Datin Seri Wong Sek Hin, in a 2002 file picture. Wong has issued a statement forgiving that her husband has the support of his family, adding that Chua has not shirked his responsibilities y as a husband and father.
But he's not resigning.

Sex tape not made by me, says health ministerLABIS: Health Minister and MCA vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek has admitted that he was the person caught on video having sex with a woman, copies of which have been widely distributed in Johor and elsewhere.
"I am the man in the tape," he said at a press conference held at the MCA Labis Service Centre yesterday. Dr Chua was composed during the 12-minute press conference, which was also attended by some 200 leaders and members from his MCA Labis division.

He repeatedly apologised to Malaysians, colleagues and supporters for the indiscretion, and thanked them "for their concern and support through phone calls and SMSes".
He said he had also apologised to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, his deputy Datuk Seri Najib Razak and MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting.
However, he said he would not quit his government and party positions.Ong said he had noted Dr Chua's statement and would convene an emergency presidential meeting today."It is an important matter for the party leadership to discuss," he said.
Reading a prepared statement, Dr Chua described the woman in the DVD as "a friend". He did not elaborate and said he did not know when the recording was made.
"I would like to emphasise that I did not make the tape myself.
"Who has done this and why it was done is obvious. Who made this tape is not important any more," he said, suggesting that it was his political enemies who were behind it.
"What is most important is that my family, wife and children have accepted my apology." He appealed to the media to give his family space "during this difficult time".
Fielding questions after reading the statement, Dr Chua said he would consider lodging a police report on the DVD although the police had already started investigations.
