Well, after reading ninjabee’s latest update, I realized that I haven’t really been keeping in touch with my high school friends. In fact some of them have no clue of my whereabouts wotsoeva (vice cersa), which is kinda sad in a way since these are the people that I grew up with…literally. I was sent off to a boarding school at a tender young age of 13 and these ladies were my family. From Form 1 when things were scary and intimidating for us up til Form 5 when we were scary and intimidating.
Heheheheh!
So anyone out there who is an ex-TKCian class 1990 to 1994, please e-mail me at mymagicbox77@gmail.com or drop me a line or two here in my blog. I’d love to hear from you.

You Stupid BADIGOL
Driving in Selayang can cause brain hemorrhage.
Yesterday on my way to Hospital Selayang to visit my mom, some schmuck who thinks that his BMW is more worthy of being on the road than my satria, wrestled my car off the road and nearly into a ditch when he switched from the left lane to the right (taking his place in front of me) without even giving the signal. Do bear in mind that I was going 120 miles on hour, and having to slam on the break at that speed is just plain dangerous.
He was on the phone.
I honked.
He gave me the Finger.
Like what the FISH?!!
You stupid badigol! I hope your p*nis grows warts and fell off!
I was feeling all homicidal gripping my steering and all while Mr. Frankie is trying to calm me down. I have to say my ‘pahala puasa’ was significantly reduced that day. I was cursing like a sailor.
I wish I was driving this so that I could slam on his car and run him over with it. You PR*CK
Do they sell Hummer in Malaysi?

Working (NOT) 9 to 5

What's worse than having to work on Sunday?
Having to work on Sunday during PUASA! It just sucks! Arrrrrrrr! This is what happened when the Senior Management did not read my memos and e-mails, thereafter resulted in them sending the papers on SUNDAY and expected the papers to be ready first thing on MONDAY morning.
Quoting my good friend farah_kawaii "This is very gundu!" (beats me, I have no idea what that means but it sure sounds good heheheheh)

Of Humping Kangaroo and Messy Table (yes I lack creativity so spank me)
This.....

...is what I found on the table. It's fasting month and I shudder to think what my officemates are capable of during NON fasting month.
Hahahahah!!
And it’s very unlikely that I will be going home in time for my buka puasa today. Take a look at my desk today at 5:47 p.m.
The Senior Management think making (very) late submission for papers is funny. It’s SO NOT. Especially when numerous reminders were sent out vie e-mail and memo. Kalau macam ni baik tak payah ada dateline. And the fact that these datelines are the ones that’s gonna make my KPI.
And it’s especially frustrating when this is the first day of my buka puasa with my husband!
Arrrrrrrrrrrr!

Tart Nenas Bergulung
Ini adalah kueh raya yang paling saya suka in the world. Namanya Tart Nenas Gulung.
Tekalah apa kueh pilihan saya?
Tart Nenas Gulung
Bahan-Bahan:
Bahan A
1 kg tepung gandum
1 ketul buttercup
2 biji telur
2 biji kuning telur(untuk disapu)
2 sudu teh esen vanila
2 sudu teh esen nenas
majerin untuk melembutkan doh Bahan B
1 biji nenas
1 ½ cawan gula
4 kuntum bunga cengkih
sehelai daun pandan
Cara:
1. Gaulkan semua bahan A dan uli hingga lembut untuk dijadikan doh.
2. Masak semua bahan B sehingga pekat dan sejukkan.
Cobalah!

Mojo Jojo No More?
Last weekend, we attended the first year birthday party of Vogue Mama’s daughter Armia in Andalusia. Vogue Mama and I attended the same boarding school so our circle of friends is pretty much the same people. So while making my rounds saying hellos and all, a good friend of mine grabbed me by my arms and said,
“Babe what happened to you??” whilst looking at me up and down and up and down.
Hokey, so I put on a couple of pounds (ok ok I put on a lot of pounds) that does not mean I’m not hot and sexay as I used to be(?)
“Babe dah kawin does not mean that you can let yourself go”
…and that kinda startled me a lil bit. I don’t think I have let myself go, though I do opt for a more relax and comfy clothes these days. I mean I have scaled down from…
This…
to this...
<
And from this...
to this...
Does that mean I have lost my mojo jojo??
But then again, these days comfort comes first then anything else. Yes I may not be walking around in dresses and heels so much no more but I just find flat shoes and baju kurung are just more comfy.
I once saw a show on Oprah Winfrey on mothers/wives who let themselves go once they got married and have kids. I even heard something about this on Mix.fm the other day.
Is it true that we women let ourselfves go after we got married and have kids?

Ayam Rangup (Ter)Golek
I'm not too sure why but my mouth has been salivating over chicken roast for a week! And the fact that I couldn't find anywhere in KL/PJ area any restaurant that sells really good delicious juicy chicken roast (unlike the one I had back in Ipoh), I have decided that tonight, chicken roast I shall cook.
Though bear in mind that the only thing that I have successfully created in the kitchen is...fire. So my culinary skills in pretty much non-existence.
Mr. Frankensteina even asked me if we should be replacing the mini fire extinguisher that we have in the house when I told him of my pursuit of a juicy delicious tender crispy chicken roast. I take that as his reverse-psychology tactic crap that he uses on me most of the time. I know he wants me to cook chicken roast.
Anyway, since morning I have been surfing the net for an easy, delicious, juicy, foolproof chicken roast recipe and so far this is the best that I found
CRISP ROAST CHICKEN
Ingredients (serves 4)
2kg free-range chicken
1 lemon, quartered
1 bunch thyme
50g butter, melted
2 tablespoons olive oil
675g chat potatoes
steamed carrots and peas, to serve
Method
Preheat oven to 220°C. Remove excess fat from chicken cavity. Wipe chicken inside and out with paper towels (see tip). Select a roasting pan with sides 4cm high.
Place lemon and thyme in chicken cavity. Tie chicken legs together with un-waxed string and tuck neck flap and wings underneath. Combine butter and oil in a small bowl. Brush over both sides chicken. Place, breast side down, on a greased roasting rack in pan. Roast for 35 minutes.
Meanwhile, place potatoes in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to the boil over high heat. Cook for 10 minutes or until almost tender. Drain. Return potatoes to saucepan. Cover to keep warm. Remove chicken from oven. Turn over and baste with butter mixture. Arrange potatoes around chicken. Brush with butter mixture.
Roast both for a further 37 minutes or until juices run clear when chicken thigh pierced with a skewer. Cover and stand for 15 minutes to rest. Carve chicken and serve with potatoes and steamed vegetables.
Notes & tips
Tip: Don't rinse chicken - the skin has natural oils that keep it moist during cooking.

Hanky (S)panky
This is what happened when you let yourself cuffed to the bed during rompy romp session.
Y’right...I wish! Hahahahahah
While moving some of my stuff from my apartment to the new abode, I twisted my wrist in a funny angle, which resulted in sore muscle around the wrist area. It was so sakit that even a slight movement made me squirmed in pain.
*sighs*
So now that I’m a one-arm woman, I pretended that I’m in no state whatsoever to do any chores of any kind around the house *he he he*. It’s kinda nice to have someone feed you and rub your feet ;)

Good Husband, Great Marriage
A dear old friend of mine unveiled to me her current read. Being a self-help motivational book junkie that she is, she profusely and incessantly urged me to buy the book.
So last Friday whilst waiting for mon mere and mon pere-in law checking in in KLIA, I took the opportunity to scour a nearby bookshop. While aimlessly rummaging through stacks of books, I found the book that my dear old friend recommended. I flipped the first few pages of the book and got hooked instantaneously! Its funny and witty and just a delight to read for us women and VERY EDUCATIONAL for men (read: HUSBANDS) to read.
What book? Oh, this one….

So I shoved the book into Mr. Frankensteina’s hand. He took one swift look at the title and said a blunt “No”. He even refused my offer to read him snippets from the book (snippets that I feel applicable to him heheheh). So I put the book down, grumble grumble and headed for the magazine sections.
The next thing I saw was this…

Mr. Frankensteina taking refuge at the back of the bookstore with the book in his hands. Gotcha! Haha.
So for those who are looking for something to read, I suggest you keep this book in mind the next time you’re in a bookshop. Mr. Frankensteina and I had a good time reading it.

Mr & Mrs Frankensteina
Wedding can be one exhausting occasion esp when it's your own. I'm not talking about the wedding day(s) per se but the after-wedding activities e.g 'Bertandang' and lunches and visiting and what not. Phew penat I tell you. Last weekend, Mr Frankensteina and I plus in-laws went to T.I visiting relatives. It was a pleasant trip as I get to meet my new extended families. Nothing beats 'kampung hospitality' and kampung food *yums*

The last picture was my attempt to take a picture of a speeding Ferrari but as you can see, to no avail. Heheheheh...
I'm back in the office but I'm just knackered.
And oh yes, for those who do not have sister-in-law, I ENVY YOU! You lucky devil. Yes I'm evil, so spank me.
On another note, Ronnie misses me so much that the night we returned to my apartment, he sneaked himself into the bedroom and slept on my arm.

Of Wedding Blues & Deserted Island
Ok, it's less than a month before the wedding and I have never been this busy with work *arrrr* and the fact that the first 10 days of next month I will be shipped off to an island for a major function is just NOT helping when I'm only 40% done with the wedding preparation. Though I have to say that I'm looking forward to this 10-day work trip as I see it as a mini breakaway from Hot Papa before the wedding.
Don't get me wrong, I love Hot Papa but I'm in dire need of some 'away-from-each-other' time before the wedding. I plan to get some sun (must not get tan before the wedding though I'd love to), fantalicious seafood and loads of whateverdrinksthatcomecwiththatsmallumbrellapotrudingatthesideofmyglass.
On another note, I am proud to tell you that I have finally conquered my claustrophobia (fear of small confined space, and that includes being under water, as well as being in a bad relationship with a short smelly hairy guy *ehem*) and I now know how to swim. For those who suffer from this fear would understand that being under water is darn scary, so learning how to swim is a big deal, thankyouverymuch.
Oh so much more to do, so very little time! I have yet to get meself shoes. Where can I get shoes??
Since I cut my hair short, I mean REAL short about 4 months ago, I never really give a thought on what kind of hair style should I do for my wedding. Even now, the hair is still mighty short. Help!
